Delivering successful results.

PROBLEM SOLVING

A problem is

“A doubtful or difficult matter requiring a solution”

“Something hard to understand or accomplish or deal with.”

Problems involve setting out to achieve some objective or desired state of affairs and can include avoiding a situation or event. DobbSolv are experts in looking at problems and investigating to get to the root cause and developing an action plan to resolve and eliminate.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Continuous improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services or processes. These efforts can seek “incremental” improvement over time or “breakthrough” improvement all at once.

Among the most widely used tools for continuous improvement is a four-step quality model—the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle, also known as Deming Cycle:

  • Plan: Identify an opportunity and plan for change.

  • Do: Implement the change on a small scale.

  • Check: Use data to analyze the results of the change and determine whether it made a difference.

  • Act: If the change was successful, implement it on a wider scale and continuously assess your results. If the change did not work, begin the cycle again.

The DobbSolv team provides facilitation and training to help our customers help themselves in delivering improvements.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE

Our approach is based on a criticality analysis of building assets to identify:

  • Statutory obligations

  • Single points of failure

  • Key systems and processes

Then from a hierarchy of importance we can facilitate a change in maintenance strategy & frequencies, resource allocation and develop a capital investment strategy based on whole life costing

CONTINUOUS COMISSIONING

Commissioning is generally seen as a process that takes place before the building is handed over to the owner or occupier. To get the best from buildings the commissioning process should be managed and planned from feasibility through design, construction and operation. This process is known as Continuous Commissioning.

Applying this appropriately it will deliver substantial benefits in reduced: operating cost, energy consumption and environmental impact.

STATUTORY COMPLIANCE

We start at the beginning with a risk based evaluation of your systems against the key statutory requirements e.g.

  • Fire systems

  • Legionella

  • Asbestos

  • Insurance inspections, etc.

In order to target investment by risk as well as management and business processes to control operational, life safety and legal risk.

We deliver fire statutory compliance in conjunction with AcuFireUK Ltd.

ENERGY SURVEYS

A building energy survey is a practical step to identify, quantify possible opportunities to reduce energy use, costs and carbon emissions in a building or on a construction site.  It can also evaluate the feasibility of renewable energy opportunities.  We can provide a detailed feasibility study to help you identify the most appropriate solutions.

The DobbSolv team have extensive experience in running Energy sessions / workshops for customers.  We feel the front line team are key to delivering savings.  Through increasing their knowledge in this area creates long term sustainable savings from their ideas.
